100 kites

In my first 96 hours here in bali i have noticed the amount of kites in the sky i have counted about 30 but i have'nt even been outside of Changgu yet so I'd say there would be over 100 kites over Bali. Its quite a famous celebration and it is to thank the gods for the good harvest. Its a compition too, groups representing their village fly kites that are either fish, bird, or leaf shaped kites but there are some that are 3D and shaped like Hindu gods. the best looking kite wins a trophy and is crowned the "best kite" for the year.
