Hawkers & Touts

in my first 552 hours in Bali I have noticed the amount of Hawkers and touts. The come up to you and ask you if you would like to buy something, if you say "Tidak" (No in indonesan) they stay beside you until you are pressured into buying some thing. So, how do you not get pressured into buying some thing,Here are some top tips.

  1. Completeley ignore them
  2. Don't make eye contact
  3. A polite No actually incorages them
  4. Never ask the price of the object unless you are interested in buying it
And thats the thing ive noticed in my first 552 hours in Bali
